New Ubisoft Game Upcoming Based on James Cameron’s Avatar

Just recently, Ubisoft has announced that they are working on a new game which will be based after James Cameron’s Avatar, the extremely award winning movie.

This game will be spearheaded by The Division developer, Massive along with Lightstorm and Fox interactive, and will focus to bring Pandora’s unique environment and inhabitants to life.

James Cameron when asked why he chose Massive to spearhead a Avatar game, he commented

What impressed me about Massive were the group’s passion for this project, and the power of its Snowdrop engine,”

Cameron says.

The game will be using the snowdrop engine. development of this engine started in 2009 by Massive Entertainment.

The core of the game engine is powered by a “node-based system and the engine is a dynamic, interconnected and flexible system where developers can create their assets quickly and interact with them in ways that have never been done before.

What this means that we will be seeing one of the best sci-fi movies of all time, being recreated in a playable form, an excited ordeal for Avatar fans but also to gamers in general.
